Last Friday, when I came in to the office, my cube was crawling with ants. Yes, ANTS. OK, the building has a bug problem, and not just in the software. I can deal with that, almost.
I spent an hour carefully cleaning my desk. Apparently, when I last got moved, the person before me didn't keep their cube very clean. There were coffee rings and other things under stuff and to my right, which I hardly ever use. Then I got EI to put some ant killer stuff out. He said I'd be rid of them by Monday.
Wrong. Turns out that the ladies room with the shower (that my desk is next to), that I can't use for the perfume factor, has ants - lots of them. So here it is, Thursday, and I still have the little shits crawling on my desk, keyboard, and me.
I am not amused.
Update, 10/9/2003: Well, my ant problem is solved, for now. They moved my cube squat, back to the area it had originally been in. Quieter, and a left handed cube besides. I'm happier now.
