I was told, by no less than CS (a VP), that my needs were accomodated by the fact that there were unfragranced bathrooms in the other building, so there were unfragranced bathrooms in the facility. In other words, if I want to be able to breathe while I use the commode, I need to go out a door, walk over to the next door building, go in through another key-fobbed door, and use the restroom there.
Thanks, a$$holes.
My solution, of course, was to put that one service into downtime for the next week. SR, who I've complained about here before, said "No. It's a problem, we have to get the notifications." SR gets text pages. They don't wake him up. He cares nothing about me and the first tier support person's (DB) sleep.
So now both of us, who have trouble going back to sleep when awakened, get two hours chopped out of the middle of our night. I don't know about DB, but I get... nasty... when my sleep is screwed up to much. This crap takes my nightly allocation from 8 solid hours to 6 broken hours, with no segment bigger than 3 hours. Double plus ungood.
I will be updating my resume over the next week, and actively looking for sysadmin/perl hack jobs. I've gone ahead and joined SAGE.
